Job Description

The Marketing Intern will assist the WCU Dining Services team in its promotional efforts and provide creative ideas to achieve our goals. Their main duties include completing clerical and administrative duties, assisting with building social media campaigns, running events at various campus dining locations, and preparing promotional materials for events and campaigns.

This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Supporting the WCU Dining Services Marketing team in daily administrative tasks.

• Set up and execute tabling events at various dining locations across campus.

• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (i.e. social media, direct mail, and web).

• Help create and distribute marketing materials.

• Participate regularly in brainstorming sessions for the development of marketing campaigns and take detailed notes during those meetings.

• Assist in the production of content for social media accounts.

• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.

• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation

• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

? Currently enrolled at West Chester University of Pennsylvania

? Outgoing, friendly, and able to engage with customers and potential customers

? Must be able to follow basic safety procedures

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
