Job Description

The Receiver's main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.80- $21.80. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily receiving logs and rejection logs must be completed in compliance with rigorous receiving process

  • Must sign invoices and check off items being delivered in compliance with rigorous receiving process

  • Receive, store, stock, count, sort, record temperatures and verifies items on invoices

  • Completion of deliveries to other locations correctly and in a timely manner

  • If delivering product to other locations, must abide by all rules and regulations regarding driving and delivery safety

  • Completion of any task requested by leads, supervisors or members of management team

  • Rotation of stock in storage areas following proper safety protocols and guidelines

  • Reports damaged items or other items that do not meet ARAMARK specifications

  • Ensure return products are picked up and keep manager informed of progress

  • Keep freezers and refrigerators organized and cleaned

  • Moves or transports stock using hand trucks or pallet jacks

  • Works as part of the team with student and fulltime staff and the management team

  • Able to follow directions from other employees as instructed by management

  • Work in an environment that at times can be hot and humid or cold

  • Work in an environment with some exposure to the elements

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work station

  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy

  • Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness of loading dock, receiving areas as well as location assignments and storage as needed

  • Responsible for removal and proper disposal of waste

  • Accountable for meeting customer sanitation needs and service expectations

  • Assist with maintaining a safe working environment and report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately

  • Completion of daily cleaning task list

  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must have good working relationship with service staff, supervisors and managers

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communicate skills both verbal and written

  • Work Environment: Primarily back-of-house ? stockroom, loading dock, dish room, and dining area. Work condition is inside of kitchen area and outside in storage areas and includes interaction with heated equipment, steam, loud noises, chemical products, and other at risk conditions. Job requires frequent heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling. Involves repetitive motion.

  • In some locations due to the nature of deliveries and rigorous receiving processes, employees may also be responsible for the following, including but not limited to:

  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping

  • Cleans surfaces, equipment, trash cans, and recycle bins using specified products to insure sanitary standards

  • Cleans mops and restocks bathrooms

  • Removes trash and cardboard from kitchen to designated containers on loading dock

  • Responsible for informing management if any cleaning supplies are needed

  • Responsible for ensuring freezer/refrigerator temperatures and sweep and mop logs are recorded properly daily, if applicable

  • Cleaning and ensuring equipment is in proper working order

  • Participate in cleaning facility at quarter breaks

Qualifications

  • Must be over 18 years of age

  • High school education or equivalent is preferred

  • 2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery

  • Able to lift up to 50 lb frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35 lb

  • Some client locations require a current valid driver?s license. If this is required, an MVR will be run as part of your pre-employment screening process.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
