ARAMARK Hotel & Conference Center Manager - National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia

Job Description

Located on the Potomac River in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, just 75 miles from Washington, D.C., the National Conservation Training Center serves as the home of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Here, the history and heritage of the Service is preserved, and exemplary training and professional development is provided; tailored to support Service Employees and conservation partners in accomplishing the agency?s mission

The NCTC is located on a 535 acre property comprised of 17 buildings that include over 200 quest rooms and 20,000 square feet of meeting, training and conference space. Aramark has serviced the property since the NCTC?s opening in 1997 and includes conference services, janitorial services, accommodations, front desk and food services.

Under the direction of the Guest Services Manager, the Hotel & Conference Center Manager is directly responsible for the seamless operation and quality assurance of all PM Guest Services Departments. This position will make decisions that directly affect the way the Front Desk, Reservations, Janitorial and Conference Setup departments are run on a nightly basis in conjunction with the Guest Services Manager, General Manager and overall direction of Aramark at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC).

Job Responsibilities

? Assists the Guest Services Manager in managing the PM Guest Services departments within established budgets.

? Works with the Guest Services Manager to establish and implement PM Shift Checklists for all PM Guest Services employees.

? Provide a monthly written Department Status Report to be reviewed with the Guest Services Manager and submitted to the General Manager.

? Ensures that the PM Guest Services Team meets or exceeds the responsibilities of the Statement of Work.

? Works with Guest Services Manager in ordering, storage, inventory, and control for all purchases for the PM Guest Services Department.

? Plans and oversees the scheduling of work, shifts and vacations for all PM Guest Services Staff.

? Completes evening Quality Assurance inspections as well as a nightly MOD report.

? Recruits, hires, and trains PM Guest Services Staff.

? Oversees and performs PM Front Desk tasks.

? Works directly with the Contractor Officer?s Representative in the absence of the Guest Services Manager.

? Ensure that all PM Guest Services employees are trained on their job duties, safety awareness, and Aramark policies and procedures.

? Maintain all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) information as per OSHA requirements for PM Janitorial and PM Conference Services.

? Reports Incidents / Accidents per Aramark policy and procedures.

? Generate maintenance and repair work orders for deficiencies noted during evening inspections.

? Acts as the Guest Services Manager during their absence.

Qualifications

? A 2-year degree in Hospitality Management or related field is required.

? The Manager-On-Duty should possess at least three (3) years of recent responsible experience in the management and supervision of commercial housekeeping, conference setup, and hospitality services comparable in size and characteristics of the NCTC.

? Specific experience in setting up and managing a variety of guest services including, but not limited to, transportation, reservations, billing, front desk, laundry, housekeeping, and classroom and meeting room setup is highly desirable.
