Job Description

The Event Supervisor is the first to arrive and last to leave for each event. They are expected to provide direction to event staff (both Aramark and contract labor) to guarantee proper set up, service and break down as they relate to catering food service).

Job Responsibilities

? Attend Weekly BEO Meeting (Wednesday): It is crucial that you attend this meeting every week. During the meeting Management provides detailed information about our location and venue spaces. We also go through the event details for each event happening during the week (Thursday-Wednesday). Take this time to review assignments.

? Begin each event having reviewed the BEO and event staffing.

? Pull items needed for event set up/execution & ensure these items are returned to the appropriate location.

? Before staff arrive ensure that the assignment sheet is completed and follow through with their assignments to make sure they are done correctly.

? As an Event Supervisor you serve as a point of contact for the client throughout the event, ensuring all arrangements are agreeable as previously determined between the Catering Sales Manager and client. For example: Checking in with the Wedding Planner and DJ to be on the same page with intros and speeches to not overlap with food service.

? Closing procedures, ensure that you follow the closing procedures provided for you in the Event Packet. Ensuring inventory is returned to the appropriate place, any leftover food is properly stored/disposed of and staff has clocked out.

? Complete all paperwork.

? Review and sign consumption report/Bartender closing procedures.

? Review and sign driver closing sheet.

? Review and sign contract labor timesheet

? Continually train new staff and hold all staff accountable for proper catering etiquette.

Schedule

Mainly Friday-Sunday (including holidays), timing is event dependent.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions

• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as a lead

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic

• Maintain emotional control under stress

• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations

• Strong organizational skills

Minimum Education/Certification - High School Diploma/GED

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
