Job Description

Location: Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL

Shift: 1st Shift, must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays

Employment: Full-Time

Pay rate: $17 p/h

This position requires cleaning, special projects and pickup/delivery. The EVS Technician/Driver must utilize equipment and EVS techniques to clean and maintain the hospital facility. The EVS Technician/Driver performs a variety of duties for EVS, not being limited to any one specific duty or task.

The EVS Technician/Driver must always adhere to infection control and safety standards. The EVS Technician/Driver drives an assigned Endeavor Health vehicle to safely transport EVS supplies to different locations in the Endeavor Health system as required

Job Responsibilities

? Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.

• Utilizes client owned vehicle to safely transport cleaning supplies to other Aramark EVS

departments across the Endeavor Health system. May assist in delivering client supplies to other client departments as well.

? Anticipates and responds to customer needs.

? Uses proper procedures on hard floor care (stripping & refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing) in adherence to the principles of hard surface floor maintenance.

? Uses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.).

? Operates industrial floor care equipment as assigned and according to schedule for cleaning of large area of floor surface.

? Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.

? Properly processes all municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste including rendering infectious waste as MSW.

? Removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies and equipment from assigned work area. Disinfects receptacles and carts as needed.

? Follows all Aramark safety standards, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures and requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies.

? Adheres to all Aramark appearance standards and always wears the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.

Qualifications

Read, write and understand English.

§ Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively.

§ Ability to apply elementary math functions.

§ Ability to work well under time constraints.

§ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

§ Must maintains a valid non-commercial Driver?s License while employed in this position § Ability to drive client owned vehicle to transport supplies

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
