ARAMARK System Director of Retail Dining in Cleveland, Ohio
Job Description
Report to the Vice President of Operations at the Cleveland Clinic . Plan administer, and direct all unit activities related to retail operations, complying with the standards established by ARAMARK Healthcare+ , regulatory agencies, and client. Lead retail staff. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified retail experience for customers. Level of impact is within own operation.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver strong operation performance by executing against ARAMARK Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, completing assessments, and developing necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service and drive patient and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Interact with client management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels with client organization, including conducting rounding. Identify ARAMARK service expansion opportunities.
Provide overall direction and manage performance for the Food Service Department, ensuring employee development, engagement, compliance with Human Resources-related policies and standards including conducting applicable rounding.
Responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with ARAMARK Healthcare Food Service Systems, including cash handling, merchandising, food presentation, quality and cost control.
Develop and implement retail services plan to improve service, quality, and profitability of service areas. Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer needs and improve retail services.
Monitors and analyzes the performance of the unit through verification and analysis of customer satisfaction systems, financial reports and trends. Formulates an action plan to correct deviations to business plan and budget.
Implements and maintains retail services program. Maintains awareness of possible new business within unit and surrounding area including opportunities for other ARAMARK lines of business. Provides leads to District Manager, Regional Vice President and Regional Sales Directors.
Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints. Initiates corrective action.
Establishes systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of the client and support staff. Ability to write business letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client and ARAMARK information.
